The hyperlinked list of Ontario police services provides easy access to information about Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSS/PVSC) in the respective communities identified. The list is ordered alphabetically. Click the link to find out about the requirements and process of obtaining VSS/PVSC in your community.

If the community you reside in is not identified, it may be that the service is provided to your community by a detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police. If you are aware of a police services in your community but it is not on list, please contact them directly for details about the VSS/PVSC.

Applicants residing in the jurisdiction of the Hanover Police Services shall attend the station in Hanover to apply for a criminal background check including a vulnerable sector. The police station will provide necessary documents to be completed. Applicants should be reminded that they will be required to show identification.
