Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.
You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with us through the CommunAbility website. PSDNet is the sole owner of the information we collect through the website. We use personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to individuals, organizations or companies (Third Parties) not directly involved with us and the services we provide on our website .
You are not required to provide the personal information that we request, but if you chose not to do so, in many cases, we will not be able to provide you with our services or respond to any queries you may have.

When you register for an account on the CommunAbility website, we collect an email address and ask you to create a username and password that is stored in our database. We will use this information to provide you an account and access to participate in our community forums. As an account holder you have the ability to manage your account settings including deleting your account and all personal information associated with your account.
When you apply to become a mentor or mentee in the CommunAbility e-Mentorship Program, we collect a variety of information including but not limited to your name, demographic data, phone number and email address, university/college enrollment information (for Mentees), the result of your Vulnerable Sector Check (for Mentors) and preferred attributes of potential matches. We will use this information to determine your eligibility to participate in the CommunAbility e-Mentorship Program and deliver this service to you.
When you apply to our e-mentorship program to become a mentor, we collect referee information– referee names, relationships to you, email addresses, and phone numbers. We will use this information to determine your eligibility to participate in the CommunAbility e-Mentorship Program.
We may use the personal information we collect to:
verify, identity, or assist with identification of users and to determine appropriate services;
provide you with access to certain areas of the website and website features such as forums;
customize your experience on the website
help us create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our products, services, content, and advertising ( e.g., deliver the CommunAbility e-Mentorship Program, develop new resources and make them available on the CommunAbility website)
respond to your queries and requests, and to send you information (e.g., notifications, information that you’ve requested
Non-personal information is data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. PSDNet may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. We do not combine non-personal information and personal information.
PSDNet considers website statistics -log files that measure the behaviour of visitors and track details of our website (e.g., the number of unique visitors to our website, the number of pages viewed)- as non-personal information. We may collect website statistics and combine this data to help us improve our website, provide more useful resources and services to you and understand which parts of our website, services, and products are of the most interest. We may also publish this aggregated data on our website or elsewhere. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purpose of this Privacy Policy. At no time is your personally Identifiable Information included in such data aggregations.
As with most Internet sites, PSDNet may use cookies to help us to understand your behaviour, and tells us how our website is being used. Usage of cookies is not linked to any personally identifiable information while you are on the CommunAbility website. PSDNet uses Google Analytics to collect website statistics about the use of the Communability website. Google Analytics is a free web analytic tool that generates detailed statistics about activities on a website. Google Analytics does this by using cookies on each visitor’s computer that store anonymous information. The cookies combine visitor data for the our website into our account with Google Analytics. PSDNet strives to use commercially acceptable means and precautions to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. We implement a variety of security measures such as SSL encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Although such unauthorized access is unlikely, PSDNet wants to inform you of this risk and advise you that we are not liable for any damages caused by such unauthorized access.
The CommunAbility website contain links to other websites, including sites that contain content developed by PSDNet or that frame the content on the other sites within the CommunAbility name and logo. These websites are not under PSDNet’s direct control and we have no responsibility for their privacy practices or content.
You access such linked websites at your own risk. You should check the privacy policies, if any, of those individual websites to see how the operators of those Third Party sites will utilize any personal information that you choose to provide them when you are on their website.
If you are registered on the CommunAbility website, you may opt-in to receive extra-communications (e.g., notification of replies to forum postings). You can manage your subscriptions, including opting out of certain types of emails in your account settings.
All registered users, however, agree to receive service emails and may not opt out of receiving these emails. Service emails contain important information about changes to terms, policies, and the services we provide. Service emails include emails from PSDNet responding to user requests, issues and concerns, and emails informing users of the opportunity to participate in the evaluation of our website and services.
Therefore, users who request not to receive any emails from PSDNet will have their user profiles removed.
PSDNet reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace this Privacy Policy at any time. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on the CommunAbility website.
